While navigating a fixer-upper boot camp of her own—renovating a 1926 bungalow in Los Angeles—Velinda wore many hats: designer, project manager, and contractor.

The experience ignited a passion that led her straight to design school, where her love for the craft truly took root.

Skilled in working within tight budgets while knowing when to invest in splurge-worthy elements, she brings a thoughtful balance to every project.

Velinda believes every space should carry a 'vintage heart,' blending character with purpose. Though a devoted fan of color and pattern, she also finds inspiration in clean lines and the intentional simplicity of minimalism.

Senior, Principal Designer

A former accountant turned design enthusiast, Grace discovered her true calling after studying design in the Philippines.

She found her creative home at Emily Henderson Design, where she collaborated on standout projects like the Mountain House alongside Julie and her longtime desk-mate, Velinda.

Outside of design, she's an aspiring ceramicist, a (still-learning) plant parent, a devoted Broadway fan, and - according to some - a Brit in an alternate universe.

Senior, Principal Designer

After studying design in Seattle and trekking the Pacific Crest Trail, Julie returned home to California, driven by a passion for design and the opportunity to collaborate with - yes - Emily Henderson.

Alongside Velinda and Grace, she played a key role in shaping a variety of spaces, most notably the stunning Mountain House, while also contributing to The New Design Rules and a range of product-sponsored photo shoots.

When she’s not crafting beautiful interiors, she’s likely scaling literal heights as a dedicated climber with a love for adventure (and a reliable bag of chips in tow).
